In a strategic move to drive growth and bolster its online presence, leading North-East business resilience specialist Net Defence has recently announced the promotion of Craig Hamilton to Head of Business Development and Sales.
With over 17 years of experience in sales and sales management, Craig’s recent appointment underpins Net Defence’s commitment to expanding its market reach in cyber security, IT and telephony as it aims to increase its client base and develop further strategic relationships across the UK.
Craig Hamilton said, “I am delighted to have taken on this new role at such a pivotal time for the business. In a sector where many businesses use fear as a selling tool, I’m proud to work for a business that genuinely puts the customer first, making business resilience understandable, affordable, and attainable to all. It’s an exciting time for Net Defence; we are looking to improve our online presence with a view to making our services understandable through education and easy-to-access advice.”
Having been with the business since July 2022, Craig will oversee the management of the well-established business development and sales team and work closely with the marketing team to develop lead generation. In addition, Craig will work closely with Managing Director Debra Cairns to develop and deliver the business’s ambitious growth plans.
With offices in Gateshead and Stirling, the IT infrastructure provider has established its reputation as a leading provider of cyber security solutions and IT and telephony services focusing on educating businesses to enable informed decision-making.
Managing Director Debra Cairns said, “As we look to drive the business forward in 2024, I am thrilled to work with Craig to deliver strategy and implement new ways of working. We are here to protect, advise and support businesses across all sectors and having the right team in place is crucial to developing our client base. Besides the continual cyber threats that businesses have to contend with regularly, the analogue switch-off will cause many businesses headaches, and we want to ensure that we are best placed to help”.
